Nature Painting
Fern had a field day with a baking tray full of poster paint and various nature bits and bobs to play / paint with.. including her hands!
I stuck some recycled paper down to our outside table with masking tape and she painted at least 3 big pictures that took quite a long time. I only needed to give her some simple guidance along the way and encouragement to keep exploring however she wanted.
The Art Therapist in me loves witnessing her process, as she started quite gently, dabbing on the paper, and by the end of it, all hands were in and she was wild and free, growing confidence with her freedom. So much yay! Having a nearby big bowl of soapy water and cloth helps when they want to wash their hands.
