Nature Bowl

Slow moments outside with my little gumnut. Afternoons can be tough with a toddler, especially when they don’t nap. My daughter gave up her only nap at 19 months old! Long days. She still needs quiet time and so do I.

Simple activities like this are great, and I find work better outside for added peace. Just fill a bowl with nature bits and bobs. Activity only lasted about 10 mins, but enough for me to have a cup of tea. Directing their focus on a mat, with a bowl in the middle + a magnify glass helps too, enabling some emotional regulation and an opportunity to decompress, observe and feel.
